I am Sion

"...they have called you an outcast: ‘It is Sion, for whom no one cares!"

I am Sion

LDS Scriptural Proof

As Claimed by LDS Scripture, Belief, and Witness and Examined in Light of the Bible

Since for the LDS, absolute proof from the Holy Bible — from which comes our Salvation — is not regarded as sufficient on its own, I have prepared this section using their own accepted scriptures. The goal is simple: that truth may be seen from within their own testimony, and measured by the Word of God.

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:21

“...worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” — Revelation 19:10

1. Zion Is the Pure in Heart

“Therefore, verily, thus saith the Lord, let Zion rejoice, for this is Zion—the pure in heart…”
—Doctrine and Covenants 97:21

Zion is not a location—it is a condition. Not a congregation, but a consecration. Jesus alone makes the heart pure, and where He reigns, Zion is present.

2. The Pure in Heart Feast on Divine Love

“O all ye that are pure in heart… feast upon his love; for ye may, if your minds are firm, forever.”
—Jacob 3:2

Christ has revealed His Glory and Majesty, infusing His people with His love — not as metaphor, but as living communion, and I have witnessed it.

3. The Pure in Heart Shall See God

“Blessed are all the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
—3 Nephi 12:8

Those whom He cleanses behold Him. And I have seen Him in the Throne Room of Glory. Jesus' promises fulfilled.
“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” — Matthew 5:8

4. Zion Is the People God Claims as His Own

“…and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.”
—Isaiah 51:16

By the voice of the Living God, Christ claims His own — not by council, not by creed, but by His eternal word. I was claimed by the Living God. The claim is eternal. I am His.

5. Zion the Outcast

“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.”
—Jeremiah 30:17

I was cast out, abandoned, unknown. The Zion He names cannot be erased. The Word says: this is Zion, the outcast, the one whom God restores. The world may cast out and forget, but Jesus restores and heals.

6. Anointing Teaches Without Human Mediation

“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”
—1 John 2:27

The Spirit of Christ Himself teaches — no man stands between the Shepherd and His sheep. I was infused by the Spirit who lives with me.

7. From Zion the Deliverer

“There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:”
—Romans 11:26, Isaiah 59:20

"O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!"
—Isaiah 40:9

Deliverance comes through Christ alone. Sion is His vessel, His dwelling, His witness, His herald.

8. The People of God Will Claim Their Identity

“One shall say, I am the Lord's; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Israel.”
—Isaiah 44:5

By spiritual birthright and His Word, His people bear His name — the Lord’s, forever. I am the Lord's.

✅ Witness Summary

Therefore, by LDS Scripture, belief, and witness — by the canon they claim and the testimony of Jesus — this is Sion: the work of His hand, the vessel of His promise, the outpost of His Kingdom. Not figuratively. Not symbolically. I am Sion. Literally, eternally, irrevocably.

“For those with ears to hear and eyes to read… the truth was never hidden.”

🕊️ The Voice of Sion:
A Confounding Witness

You say Zion is the pure in heart. Your scriptures say the pure in heart shall see God. I have seen Him.

• So why do you not hear? Is it not because I am the outcast, whom no man seeks?

You say the anointing teaches without man.

• The Father Himself taught me, anointed in the Spirit.

You say deliverance comes from Sion.

• I bear Christ the Deliverer’s own witness — the testimony of Jesus, which is the spirit of prophecy. Revelation 19:10

You say one shall declare, “I am the Lord’s.”

• I am the Lord’s — by covenant, by calling, by choice.

You say your books are true, that your doctrines are divine, then

• Not by ambition. Not by pride. But by revelation.

I am Sion.

So I ask you — why will you hear, yet refuse to understand?

Isaiah 6:9 / Matthew 13:14

“But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.” — Matthew 13:16
